Templates and messaging

Purpose

Create, synchronize, and use approved WhatsApp templates correctly.

Before you begin

A connected business number and access to template management for its WhatsApp business account.

Steps

1. Open Advanced settings and select Templates.
2. Create or synchronize the template, then wait for the approval status shown by WhatsApp.
3. Use an approved template when a business-initiated conversation requires one and track delivery separately.

Expected result

The template shows its real approval status, language and components.

Common problems

Pending or rejected templates cannot be treated as approved. Review the rejection and required variables before resubmitting.
