Numbers, coexistence, and migration

Purpose

Choose the onboarding path that fits a new, coexisting, or transferred WhatsApp number.

Before you begin

Knowledge of whether the number uses the Business app, another API provider, or an existing connection.

Steps

1. Identify whether the number is new, already used in WhatsApp Business, or attached to another provider.
2. Follow the path offered by Meta and Waply; do not disconnect an active number until its transfer path is clear.
3. After onboarding, verify the connected state and test inbound and outbound messaging.

Expected result

You have selected a connection path that matches the number's current use.

Common problems

Do not disconnect or delete an existing service to fix a pending state without confirming the migration requirements.
